what number set up is correct for a '73? I'm mostly concerned with the intake to the tin and not the the connection to the box and exhaust.

I'll assume you meant 'which part number is the EGR can on a Thing'.
Its not the same as any of the other EGRs I have seen, and I think its a Thing-specific part. Don't know the part number.
I know that over at German Motor Works (Thingsforthething.com) they have some 'used' models.
By the way, there are some EGRs in the MidAmericaMotorworks catalog and one looks like the one on the Thing - but it is not the same at all. (don't ask how I know...)
My EGR and exhaust was rusted out so I got a new exhaust and found that it did not have a connection for the EGR - so now I run without the EGR. |

I won't have mine hooked up below the exhaust for the same reason- it's just for looks. _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.
