Well they do fit on a Porsche so maybe that's their real market. It does make you wonder if they're any good, as they've been sitting on a shelf for a long time.

Looks like Bus or Ghia air cleaner adapters repurposed. A unique solution to the low profile air cleaner issue, if you can't get a stock air cleaner system. Sucks warm air in when not moving, though.

Yes, I noticed that too, they cut them short (or there's a shorter version).

Elaborate breather set up too.

Probably easier to find a stock air cleaner than do all that. Very Happy

I used to see them with the K&N cone filters on the end.

I wonder if they used those Ghia snorkels because they used bus carbs (sold by CB Performance) without the stud for the stock air cleaner?

A 100 bucks is a little pricey for a Brown Bentley manual. Even if it's got the color wiring diagram.

She says the receipt for the manual is included, so she's not padding the price!
I bought a nice used manual for $10 from Jim Adney.
The librarian at Jack's High School reinforced both covers with a gummed clear plastic!

Yes, but just because she overpaid, that doesn't mean a new buyer has to... Wink

Hah! Probably a pic taken during troubleshooting?

I want to like this car, even at a quite high price. It looks clean, straight, and shiny.
But I see things that worry me (and pics can hide defects):
1) He should pay to have a shop install the windshield, and probably the others as well. A test drive isn't pleasant without a windshield! And maybe the window apertures were screwed up and you find it can't seal later.
2) He has the side trim, but I don't see holes. Drilling through nice paint and maybe popping bondo out will snowball into a new paint job.
3) Scratches? Needs repainting? Many $100s may be required.

Similar to the other statement. Here is what bothers me. Three questions:
1. WHY did they stop doing the restore when it is so close? The story as said does not add up.
2. What is the mileage if it is so low? Some would say my car (64 Notch with 89K miles) is low mileage.
3. Why did they take the pic with the test coil? Is there an ignition problem and speaks again to question #1 and this image implies urgency to the sale.

I agree 100%, in that the bodywork might have some hidden problems. The same applies to the AT in it. Is it any good? Or does it need a full rebuild. Only a test drive will tell you if it needs anything, and you'll want a windshield in it to get it up to 65 or 70 mph.

Those are ALL valid questions. It makes one wonder if it's actually a quick flip, or did someone just up and croak while going thru it. Doesn't make sense to dump that kind of time and money into it, and not finish it...unless they found something that'll drive the cost up too much to fix it, or finish it.
That's the thing about these cars, unless it's super rare with OE paint, they're very hard to make any money on them. Most of us either just break even or take a loss, calling it a labor of love. You have to hang on to them for years to even break even (cost starts to equal out over time). Just my 2 cents worth.
