Yes, you can.Just curious though:it appears you're willing to spend a fair bit of money. Why 1914?With all your doing/spending, a longer stroke will be an advantage. |

Before you get into turbo do some price comparisons. You can build a 160 HP 2110cc with carbs and drive it on the street. _________________ 2017 Street Comp Champion - Thunder Valley Raceway Park - Noble, OK

That's what i say.. .stroke it for torque and n/a will give instant response. _________________ Glenn

I think if you start looking at what other autocross guys use you wont find made turbos, to much lag out of corners.
You could make your 120hp with a basic 1914 na.
A good auto cross engine combo is a thing unto its self , find some vw autocrossers and ask _________________ (06:31:07) RoachGhia: "i drink dick way too fast" |

Agreed.Stroker for sure.Even a quick spool config will give way to the hard, fast pull of an NA 2110 or bigger engine in autocross. |

I'm a 100% pro-turbo but I agree with others. For autocross, you'd be better served by a snappy, NA stroker. _________________ 1967 VW Beetle

i plan on useing a very small turbo if i use on so how bout a stroked 2110 with the small turbo running about 5psi so id have the na power then the added power from the turbo. if no one thinks its a good idea ill just go for the 2110. and none of the autocrossers know about bugs im alone on this one |

Sounds like you need to do a lot of reading on turbo's and their theory before you start your project. _________________ 2017 Street Comp Champion - Thunder Valley Raceway Park - Noble, OK

i know how turbos work and have tuned with turbos for a long time. just dont know if its worth the time to put one on a 1914 or a 2110. i already have the turbo and manifolds. i need max tq all the time at almost all ranges of rpm at speeds from 20-60 thats the only reason i would go turbo cause i can get the low end tq of the 1914 or 2110 and have the turbo be spooled up beyond 2000 rpms and hold lots of tq |

What you need to be looking at is the autocross spec cams the companys have for NA vw engines, they are made for the TQ spread to want. _________________ (06:31:07) RoachGhia: "i drink dick way too fast" |
