My '90 White Westfalia Weekender Camper was stolen from the street near my apartment in Santa Monica, California. I know the VW community is very tight and has lots of woderful and helpful people. If anyone sees a new pop top Westfalia in their area please check it out. The vehicle ID # is WV2TB0257LH034539. If you have any information or tips on how to recover a stolen vehicle it will be greatly appreciated. Any information that leads to recovery of this vehicle will also be rewarded.
I cannot tell you how much we miss our camper. My two boys loved this camper and we would love to get it back.
This was a very clean, a no rust vehicle, with one ding on the right passenger side rear wheel well. There was two stickers in the rear window, a small Hawaiian Flower, and a BC sticker.
if you have any information please call 310-922-2343
License Plate Number 2SMM805
The only difference is this picture doesn't have the ding in the real drivers side wheel well.
Thank you,
Robert
Thanks Guys, will add pics tonight.[img]

Sorry to hear that man. We have stopped parking ours on the street after some vandals got us last winter. Its now enclosed in the back yard behind a 6 foot privacy fence patrolled by a very large dog. _________________ 95 GMC Yukon 6.5 TD 2 Door Tow pig/ Daily driver.

My only advice on stolen vehicles is to be sure to have the police read the VIN back to you after you file the report. My boys in blue got it wrong and I'm convinced that, had I not corrected their mistake, mine would not have been recovered in four days and maybe not ever.
My instance was a motorcycle and not a van, and maybe they're not as careful with bikes, but it's worth double-checking in any case. Good luck! |

It's all Go Westy's fault. 100K will get everyone's attention, even the crooks : But seriously, did you post it in the "stolen vehicles" section, here? What is it with California and stolen vehicles? Hope you get it back quick. Let's hope you catch the guy driving it and he's a lot smaller than you. |

Sorry to hear about your van. My white vanagon was stolen in the SF Bay Area last year, and it turned up four weeks later (it was found abandoned). Don't give up hope! _________________ 1990 GL 7-passenger

License plate number please. You'd be surprised how many stolen vehicles are recovered with the the plates still on. Most stolen cars are joy-ridden around and abandoned; you don't want to think about the others. _________________ '87 Syncro passenger w/ 2.2L Subaru

How was your van running? Maybe the jerks are stranded somewhere on the the highway.
Maybe i shouldnt have fixed the headseals on my van. Thats cheap "stolen vehicle" insurance.
All joking aside...I hope you recover your camper in good condition. _________________ 89 Bostig powered syncro westy |
