i recieved a bunch of emails about how you put these kits in, and i figured i would make it easier on me and you if i showed this . this shows how easy it is........
i took out the headlight. the plug for the headlight now plugs into the ballast in the kit. the ballast has a new plug from it that goes to the light bulb. i was able to even fit the ballast behind the light
then i just put the light back in. its tight but it fits.
by far one of the best things i ever did, and easiest lol. any questions at all feel free to post up, or pm me, or email me @ [email protected]
thanks guys
then you just turn them on
and here is a decent shot at them. these are the 12k that most people get.

Does a stock generator make enough juice for these, or is an upgrade needed on that beforehand?
cheers

Wondering this too, I also have a fairly hefty sound system in my super. Do HIDs drain more or less power than normal headlights? _________________ 1973 super beetle |

With HID's the power draw when they initially turn on is pretty big but not going to cause a problem. After they are "warmed up" the power draw is less than a 35w bulb. If you see a kit fired up you can see the "warming up" process. The lights will kick on and get brighter in the first few seconds. Kinda neat. Had a HHR with someretro-fitted Infiniti projectors and HID's on it. Amazing clarity at night. And if done right you ahve little to no glare. |

I have a question. My classic Mustang has a headlight bulb and connector VERY similar to Beetles, would you think these would work on this application? If so, I know loads of people on my other forums would want these. |

all i need is the make , model, and year and i can look it up. i get them in all bulb types. its not limited to h4's. just let me know. thanks.
also keep in mind if it is a 'sealed' beam now you need 'non sealed' headlights that allow you to remove just the bulb not the entire light. i can get those too. |
