That is a sweet Avenger GT, I would give up both of my kit projects for this car. Fit & finish is superior to any other Fiberfab that I have seen...good work & craftsmanship.

Sweet ,to bad you have to sell it , I can see that you painted in black the wind wing, how did you prep them; sand blasted ? how did you paint the stainless steel frame ?
The door panel look awesome and very simple where do they come from ? How did you finish the windshield pillar, any pics or close up will be fantastic.

I didn't sandblast the wind wings. The large aluminum frames were pretty pitted so I sanded them smooth. The rest of the parts I scuffed really good and primed with an epoxy primer. I then used the same black I used for the stripe onto all the trim pieces. So, basically everything got a real good scuffing, epoxy primer, and 3 coats of single stage paint.

The door panels are a combination of the stock FiberFab inner panels and some custom inserts I made out of 1/4" luan & marine vinyl. I used some stock plastic retainer clips that I pushed through holes in the luan to retain the padded panels to the fiberglass panels. The tops of the panels are the fiberglass and the lower sections of them are covered in carpeting.

For the windshield pillar I glued into the groove a custom sanded piece of 3/4" plywood. I then attached some velcro to it. Next I made some trim pieces from the 1/4" luan and covered it with the same fabric I am getting the new shift/ebrake boot made from. I then stapled some velcro onto that and attached them to the post. They will be easily removable for the headliner install.

And how many people pulled over while it was on the lawn and asked if that was a Ferrari? Or are they used to your projects appearing sporadically?

The locals are pretty used to it. We did have about 15,000 students moving into the University of Massachusetts this weekend and my road is one way to get there. Lots and lots of traffic, but nobody wants to stop cause the moving in process is a zoo.

Surprisingly only really, really large people have stopped. I look up from the shop and see some 6'2" 300lbs+ looking at it and just go back to work.

What did you use to make it sit so low? I was trying to figure out the best way to lower mine a bit

The front has an old school select-a-drop and the rear torsion bars must have been indexed. I didn't do anything back there.

The front might be a tad too low. I am waiting until the engine install before I touch anything.

I might actually keep this (the Deserter...not the Avenger) one. It's got a 4" longer wheelbase so I might fit comfortably.

I have also been stock piling parts for a while now. 3 sets of seats, 3 different sets of tires, guages, shifter, chrome column, chrome engine goodies...lots and lots of fun stuff.

Its amazing how you can see the progression of technology even while selling a kit car.

I have sold a few of these but none really on my front lawn since really 2004. I have sold only 1 locally so I really rarely put them there.

I had it on the front lawn on my relatively busy street this weekend. The amount of people who stop to just take pictures of it with their cell phones was amazing. Some people did what I would almost consider photo spreads with their wives, or friends, taking pictures while they leaned on the roof or squatted down by the hood. It was pretty amusing.

In 2004 people would just stop and chat. In 2011 its all about the picture phone.
