VW Bob has been running a salvage yard in Strattanville, Pa. and building engines for many years. He's still at it and recently built a friend of mine a nice 1900cc engine for his Westfalia.
He's got alot of buses and bugs in his salvage yard if you're looking for parts. http://www.vwbob.com/

Glad to see he's still doing well. He built the engine for my 71 westfalia last year. 15,000 trouble free miles so far. Great place if you need parts.

I went there and browsed around in 2013, is he still at it? And I live in GA now and wanted to ask if he'd sell whole cars

I spoke to him on the phone maybe 8 months ago. He said he retired as people had been stealing stuff from the junk yard. But if you arrange an appointment he may still work with you.
