I have lost the keys to my vanagon. Sad And i have looked everywhere!
Now i need to move it and the steering wheel is locked.
Is there anyway to unlock the steering wheel w/o a key?
And more importantly how the heck do i go about getting a new set of keys?

Well it sounds like you have a door open, yes?
Remove one of the door handles and the key code is stampped on the hande. Hope your ignition is the same key, then you are good to go. Otherwise you will need to remove the ignition cylinder for that code as well. The dealer can cut a key from the code as well as a good locksmith.

The screw that holds the door handle on is hidden under the rubber of the door gasket. Kind of a PITA, you can just stick a screwdriver through the gasket to access it.

its the pass side that has the number on it. take it to a modern locksmith. should be no more than $75 to look up the code and cut a key if they have the blank.
