Thanks for all the inquiories about original tools in the for sale columns. I do not have any complete sets of tools for sale. A complete set is very rare most of us have to piece one together. Foth those who would liketo know what came ion a complete set here are some examples:
July 1957 Bus
1 fan belt

1 starting handle
1 spare wheel complete

1 combination pliers
1 screwdriver 0.8 mm
1 screwdriver 0.5 mm
1 box wrench 36 mm
1 socket wrench 14 mm
1 socket for spark plug, wheel and jack
1 open end wrench 8 X 12mm
1 tommy bar (mandrel) for sockets and jack
1 VW service booklet
1 list of VW agencies
August 1959 Beetle
1 spare fan belt
1 tool roll
1 spare tire and wheel complete

1 hub cap removal tool
1 combination pliers
1 screwdriver 0.8 mm
1 screwdriver 0.5 mm
1 open end wrench 8 X12 mm
1 socket wrench for spark plug, fan pulley nut, wheel disc bolt
1 socklet wrench 14 mm
1 rod for socket wrench and jack
There were a few changes over time. The starting handle was dropped with the 40 horse bus engine. The 36 mm wrench was dropped some time in late 50's. The 14 mm socket became a 13mm socket in 1961. There were some other changes too. hopethis helps. Tim |
