the dash is really my biggest problem with Bay buses. Love the Split dash grafted in.
Now, if they could just get rid of the sliding door.... _________________ regards

The dash was a bit of work but worth it. The sliding door I can live with, but that bay dash had to go. _________________ House of Ghia specializing in Karmann Ghia parts, service, and restorations. www.house-of-ghia.com |

Question: why not just buy a spilt window?
It's practically one now... _________________ 77 Westy - Cape Cod Sage

Practically? theres still a long way to go if I were trying to turn a bay into a split. its far from "practically" a split. _________________ House of Ghia specializing in Karmann Ghia parts, service, and restorations. www.house-of-ghia.com |

On the page before this I had asked about the belt line trim. Is it split trim or something custom you did? _________________ Formerly known in the forums as "OVALTEEN"

I worked with John at grumpy's metal. He makes split bus trim. He made the trim for this project. I used rocker spears for the front doors and relocated the mirror mount. I had a friend make mirror arms that would take the split style mirror but fit in the bay mirror base/mount. I used WW end clips and rubber inserts. _________________ House of Ghia specializing in Karmann Ghia parts, service, and restorations. www.house-of-ghia.com |
