I was at the classic yesterday and I met the guy selling the tickets for this raffle and he seemed like a nice guy. This is reaaly a good deal and the odds are better than the lotto. Take a look at the add and look at the specs......it sounds like a good motor to me. What do you think?

I would assume it's legit, seeing as how this guy would have 400+ pissed off people after him.
Spent my 13 and got my ticket
I was wondering if someone was ever going to make a post about it. |

Yeah. If he sells all tickets, he clears about 3Gs. I'll wait for a good charity event to give my money away to. |

Sorta off topic, but the specs list an aluminum cam gear. My buddy put a helical one in his engine, It was even polished to a high shine . What would be the benifit of running an aluminium gear against a steel one? Seems like it would wear out quicker. |

Not wanting to start a deep discussion on this but I would never ever clear 3k with this one. There are lots of costs involved and honestly, I will be lucky to break even.
Right now, odds are about 1 in 441. You might wanna rethink those two cups of Starbucks for the chance to win a 2110 |

hey even if he does make a dollar,if you win-dayum what a deal!no i'm not taking sides or trying to start something but you can't win if you don't play.i too noticed some missing info from the motor list and e-mailed and got answers before i entered.kevin does seem to be honest about it and pretty straight forward..besides he really wouldn't want to piss off that many folks. |

I'm not taking sides either, charity or not, if he makes a profit or not, this is America, land of opportunity and capitalism, good for him. He had to go out on a limb and buy the engine to begin with. I bought my ticket, what more do you want? Its a few bucks, but if you walk away with a new turnkey motor for the price of a ticket, you won't complain, I won't. If you lose, its $13, that won't even get a decent meal anymore, or a half rack of good beer. _________________ 2014 GLI Edition 30

I just bought a ticket. I Am trying saving up enough money to buy a nice restored daily driver bug before i get my liscense for my first car. This engine would just top it off. I really didn't want to chance the $13 but i thought might as well because theres a chance i can win. And its nice that he's going to donate some of it to thesamba. _________________ '70 ghia

By the time you wear out a cam gear, the engine will be dust. |
