Much better example of a Paprika Ghia than the current one. Smile

It's added, that photo is 1000x better than what was there as a Paprika colour example

Honored. But that was an old respray from the 80's. In the ball park but not totally accurate. Not that you can tell from the pics, lighting and reflections make such a differance. Thankfully I found the original paint chip from 1960 and the pics below is of the recent paint job (two stage) which we worked diligently to get right on the money, and I think the lighting here gives a pretty good example. Posted more pics in the gallery as well.

Been working on several items during the last week, lot's of small things as usual.
Began working on restoring my cracked and environmentally damaged steering wheel. Will do a series of the steps I have taken later on my build thread:

Mounted Electronic Fuel Pump and filter. Thanks to inspiration, and pics, from Jeffrey's Rose project:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

A couple of questions on this, since the outlet end of the fuel pump is approx 3/8" (or roughly 9mm) and the fixed fuel line that runs through the tunnel is approx 5mm, what is the best way to downgrade the hose link end to end so as not to have to rely on cranking down the hose clamp so much on the small end without causing a possible leek? Or will I be ok using the fuel injection style pressure clamps I have?

Also, if I have a filter screen inside the tank, the filter outside the tank before the pump, do I then need to still install another filter at the back, pre-motor? Just want to make sure I reduce restrictions, yet ensure fuel is filtered before hitting the carbs.
Thanks, Jeff

After a few years I finally have the rebuilt T4 engine with converted upright cooling system in my '69 Ghia Coupe. It has been a long process. Having trouble getting started. When it runs I'll post some pictures.

I'd like to see your T4 engine in your Ghia. I'm doing the same.

Hello No Dents. Here is a Picture of the '72-3 CD Type 2 engine in my '69 Ghia Coupe. Raby DTM upright cooling kit from PO I bought with Bug with engine in it. Just completed 96mm p/cylinder installation. PO made extractor exhaust attached to header pipes. No heat boxes. Heads have larger valves. 009 distributor. Electric fuel pump under tank & pressure regulator at fire wall set at 3.5 psi. Still trying to smooth out idle at about 4-5 Degree ATDC but timing is a little over 32 degrees at 3000 + rpm's so will have to lower that. Had to cut small section out of engine compartment near lid lock to clear alternator pulley when engine R&I. Got to finish body work before road test. Can't wait to do that. Tell me what you're doing.
Got to post pic to gallery but will send this first. Duh!

David,

I acquired a 2800cc Type 4 motor from Powerhaus in Torrance, CA. It has Porsche heads and fan. In order to have the fan clear the decklid I ordered a special fan shroud from a company in Australia. Type 4 case and to be machined to lower the fan by 1.25"
