I think my 412 is pretty standard, although it does share the 24 hr timer for the Eberspacer.

I recently managed to find a parcel shelf for the space in front of the passenger seat under the dash, very useful dumping ground now!

The pop outs you mentioned, are they the rear windows either side of the rear seat? If so I really want some of them Cool

PS Forgot to say that I love the look of your 411

I'm assuming that the oil warmer is for a very cold climate?

Quite a collection you have there. Cool

Yes, the oil warmer is for cold climate, when the temperature goes down to -30C and lower the oil gets wery stiff. In my part of the word it was more or less standard to all VW's, just as watercooled cars had - and still have - water heaters.

Yes, the headlight washers were mandatory in Sweden on all cars from 1974.
http://www.lsmteknik.se/vw412_2.htm

The top picture shows the two jet nozzle at the bumper.
The system also included a high pressure pump and a vessel, about 8 litres, to carry the water (pictured vessel from superbeetle -74).

The pump vas activated when the windshield was sprayed AND the lights were on. However many of us disconnected the light washer pump since it was a huge drinker...

The engineering is probably a tad beyond me, but what vehicle did you adapt the brake assist from, is it the same as a servo unit? Has it made an improvement in the stopping ability of your 412?

Sorry about all the questions but unfortunatly I'm very curious by nature Very Happy

one thing for sure, if you have it on your car, i think it could maby one of the rarest options on our vw's Shocked

Smile

for the brake assistand,

it should brake easyer whit less braking power on the pedal, it's original made for the 411 and 412 as an option, you connect it whit your pedals unther the dash, altough it you need it as a set,

here's another pic of it.

That would be welcome, but you'll need some luck! Some of this stuff is exceedingly rare-might not have come to these shores. Some of the unusual VW options, I don't know if any cars are still known to exist with them. Factory limited slip diff. anyone?

Don't know how rare this front floor box from my 412 is, believe it was sold through the VW dealers.
The S-shape of it, in order to avoid conflict with the passenger side, is rather unusual and strange looking...

Your bamboo tray looks similar to my Type 3 Bambus tray made in Germany. Any signs of it ever having this tag nailed on it?

Any idea how any came with sunroof option? I can't remember seeing another 411 / 412 with a sunroof, and I always look for one.

Does anyone have the rear cargo cover for the 4 door? It's too bad they didn't have something similar for the wagons.
