I've searched and found nothing. Tried a bunch of different wordings.

My question is basically why does the stock plug wires screw together? If there a way to run regular one piece wires? If not, why? I don't need the little piece that plugs the air flow from the tin, no tin on the trike. Is there a capacitor or resistor in there?

That's the way the old wires went together so that you could cut your own cables and keep your old ends.

Yes you can run one piece wires, you just have to keep the little screw on ends on your plugs for the slip on end of the one piece wires.

How do you keep your trike motor cool without any tin to direct air flow?
aux fan?

There is a resistor in the that brown end. It is to stop ignition noise on the radios and tape decks.
If you have and end go bad, you can buy just the end, and do not have to buy a new wire or set of wires.
How are you cooling your engine with no tin on it.

So there's a resistor that's there simply to keep radio noise down? In other words since I have no radio and no efi or any thing to to be distrubed bt this I can run regular wires? Specially as new wires are resistor wires already. As for the ends with regular wires I could run the regular ends vice the screw tip type.

As for the cooling, it's a trike with a lot of air flow over the motor.
