Obviously this guy hasn't been monitoring The Samba for prices and availability of type IV engines.
He's willing to pay $500 for a working engine with fuel injection.
Well, heck.... I'll go as high as $600! |
he also said core. |

He also said "My original motor was stolen". Idk who stole his electric motor or why it was powering his vw bus, but im glad to see he is returning to OG VW ("or trying"...) _________________ Brutis Patches Izabich: 1970 VW Transporter - 1776cc DP

One of our fellow Sambateers scored the deal of the decade at Pomona this past weekend.
He found an unopened VDO CHT gauge with wiring and a $139 price tag on it...
for ten bucks!
Of course, I won't name names... _________________ -Kent-

Tcash wins!
Yup, WilliamM got the score of the decade.
And he's such a kind person, he bought it to give to a buddy of his.

Spotted a pretty sweet deal in Jersey where you rarely find good deals on anything VW. 2 Westy's for $4000 OBO. They are rough, but one is driveable and the other is decent for parts. Both rusty. https://jerseyshore.craigslist.org/cto/d/2-volkswagen-type-2-sage/6612439861.html _________________ 1975 Beetle 1600dp 4spd Daily Driver.

Driven by that bus for many years. It's been sitting at that gas station, moves spots every once in a great while. Never stopped to really look it over, but seemed like it was in pretty decent shape. _________________ Erik

This looks pretty solid for 2500 bucks https://roseburg.craigslist.org/cto/d/1972-vw-bus-camper-van-kombi/6673435848.html Looks more like a 73 than a 72 though . edit: Maybe something a little funky in the rear corners, especially the driver's side. Might be dented. Pass side bottom of corner looks rusty but might just be surface rust. Hard to tell from the camera angle and the dirt. Still a lot more bus than I usually see for this price. |

Yes it was a good deal very nice Rivera very low mileage and looks like it was never washed or waxed since 1990, sitting in my driveway next on the list. _________________ 66 13 window Deluxe

Congrats on the new bus! Luckily the seller didn't put the rear wheels on or wash it otherwise the asking price might have been 20k It's nice to see that there are still some reasonably priced buses out there. |
