getting a little ink in the jan 2012 issue of hotVWs as part of the Great Canadian VW Show coverage...
carlos, winner of the Spirit of the Stock Motor Challenge Award. jim, winner of the DVKK award for lowest et in a "street vw". and the Zündfolge Car Club as one of the sponsors of the SMC!!

loading up at Zündfolge Car Club US headquarters just outside of portland...
redding CA, zero visibility, snow on the road and hail and hard rain falling from the sky...
red bluff CA, and the view of what we just drove through. the pic doesnt do it justice, even the locals said they hadnt seen it this bad in a very long time...
tomorrow...so-cal!!

well...we got caught up in the crazy acvw action that is the classic weekend, hit every event, met lots of very cool people, saw a load of beautifull cars, had a good drive home and took a week and a bit to recover from it all... 
it was a great trip and every member of the Zündfolge Car Club that was there (chris, gina & daniel...chris & allison...me & lori) had an incredible time and we want to extend our thanks to everyone we met that made it that much more of an enjoyable experiance!!!

everyones been getting together at the clubhouse and busting ass to get "the pole dancer" split ready for the great canadian vw show this weekend.
from being mounted on a pole high above the speedway motors vw dealership in victoria bc in the 60's and 70's...
to some dudes back yard and garage...
to the Zündfolge Car Club for resurrection...

here's a quick recap of our adventures during the 2012 Great Canadian VW Show weekend...
friday night at the DVKK Strip Show drag races...
saturday we had a nice get together for the pancake breakfast, then went on a cruise up burnaby mountain, then out to the shark club to party all night...
sunday...the Pole Dancer 52 split window beetle gets driven on the road for the first time since 1964...
and after a quick parking lot alignment adjustment enroute...she makes it to the big show!!
and after wrestling with the tracks and getting this beast on and off a trailer...the Moose Knuckle half track panel makes its grand entrance and is on display for the masses...
club love...wrenching, working, supporting and helping each other out so all of us and our rides can enjoy a great weekend!!
and at the end of the day...

and then the last ride of the season before insurance expires and winter hibernation begins...
some things to look forward too include jims new powerplant for the wok...
plus...lots more cool stuff coming down the pipe for the off season and onwards into 2013...stay tuned!!

so...the Zündfolge Car Club is starting to hit the streets hard after a long, nasty winter...
geevy has been seen all over the lower mainland cruising his vert...!
jim's been busting ass on his new setup and there is the smell of meth in the air at the main street clubhouse...!
chris & allison (oregon chapter) have the 66 back on the road and have been having fun hauling the goods...!
chris & gina were recently spotted by google street view 2013...!
and our 64 is out of it's east van lair and enjoying it's first fresh tank of gas of the season...!
plus...we've got a few other sweet rides to wrench on (kevin...carlos & cheryl) and a few other neat tricks left yet too!
looking forward to seeing everyone at all the local and out of town events!!
