No pics but on our way to Spanish Banks last Sat, we saw a Tin Top White and Blue Bay (in traffic so couldn't see it clearly) and just as we were leaving the beach, a nice sage green Late Bay Westy slowed down and honked at us as they drove by.
Also saw 3 Vanagon Westys, a couple T4s, and an old ACVW powered Kit Car. _________________ *******************************

Saw a beautiful Beige Late Bay Westy at a gas station just South of the main intersection in Squamish BC as we were driving by on the way back to Vancouver on Sun. If I had seen it a few seconds earlier, I would have turned in to say hello and see if they were local or just passing through. No time to take a pic unfortunately. Saw a few Vanagon Westies around Squamish but didn't see any VW Campers (any age) up at Birkenhead Lake. _________________ *******************************

we stopped for a pint (or 3) at Long Trail in VT on the way home from Dead and Co in Saratoga. Found this 76 or 77 westy parked by us.
Good looking solid bus. Looks like it was sage green in its infancy. _________________ You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer. Zappa

Spotted this Late Bay Camper on our way back from Golden Ears. Looks like it could use some love.

Ran into this 69 yesterday at a local park. The owner is an early 20s Japanese guy who's here on a year's Work Holiday Visa. He said that he had a few VWs in Japan before coming here but most were 80s WC cars. He said his clutch is slipping so I offered to help him pull the engine and put in a new one so it will give me a chance to work on an upright engine again as it's been 20+ years.
It was the first full conversation in Japanese I've had in a while.

Drove out to Hope along Hwy 1 Sat and passed a beautiful Sage Green Late Bay Westy between Langley and Aldergrove and then saw a Late Bay Champaign Edition with stripes heading West between Abbotsford and Chilliwack and an Early Bay White Camper heading West about 10 minutes West of Hope. Didn't get an pics but happy to finally see a few Bays on the Way as we haven't seen any on the last few road trips. Also saw about 4 Vanagons and a couple Eurovans as well as a funky bug camper. _________________ *******************************

Driving back from our first camping trip in SE Michigan in our new 71 Westy on Sunday, we caught up to this fellow Westy. Was very cool to "caravan" with another Westy for a few miles.
Oops, just realized this was a Vanagon Westy, not a Bay. At least you get a shot of the dash of our 71 Bay. LOL. _________________ Later,

well that is crazy luck for the guy to run into a fellow VW person driving a bay, and speaks japanese, and is willing to help him pull his engine _________________ http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/jim_martin_engine_build.php

Spotted a nice orange Late Bay Camper near Commercial Drive Station this morning. Will keep my eyes open for them at the VW Show and Shine in Tsawwassen this Sunday.

Out for a drive Friday night in the next Town (Langley) and came across a Hot Rod gathering doing burn outs and other debauchery.
Spotted a couple VWs in the mix including this Late Bay.
...and a nice Splitty for eye candy.
