I ran across the tool that owns those Westies.
I agree. A total tool for sure.

Saw a 71 or 72 Bay Westie off Route 306 just east of Bainbrifge NY
Looked unregistered but not neglected.

Spotted several along Huntington and Bolsa Chica Beaches today:
Three in a row (almost):
There were also some Vanagons (ugh), but didn’t want to waste my phone memory on those! 😀😀😜 _________________ Lon

Red Low Light was buzzing past me , going the opposite direction as I left work.
Canoe mounted on the roof as well. Did not appear to be a ‘72 as it had the earlier tail lights, so early Bay. _________________ '68 Westy- my first VW and vehicle/Bus- long gone.- sold it to a traveling Swiss couple....

I had never seen this one around here, pretty nice. seems like a genuine Westfalia, not a camper-ized standard or deluxe bus. I pulled up next to it and grabbed a few shots.. Certainly a repaint, if that's Montana red I never realized it was so bright.
And yes, nearly everywhere I go, people see the old business logo painted on my bus and ask me if I take unwanted pianos away, or buy pianos, or tune them, and I'm like "uh, that was like 50 years ago." |
That blue bus is just plain awesome! _________________ 1971 Chianti Red Westfalia x2

Yellow Westy flying by me on the Edens, Hyw 94 , in the opposite direction, heading North. Late Bay. That was NOT a slow Bus..... _________________ '68 Westy- my first VW and vehicle/Bus- long gone.- sold it to a traveling Swiss couple....

I love Bennington, a beautiful little town. We pass through it every year on our way to Saratoga Springs & Latham to visit family. Always want to stop and spend a day or two there. It was a trip through a few years ago that right in the middle of town, the better half decided I needed to fix up the bus so we could do weekend trips to places like there.
Last week a really lovely blue early bay hooked a u-turn right in front of the house, didn’t get outside quick enough to get a pic, m guess was probably trying to find Reggie’s and missed the turn. _________________ 1979 Transporter (sold)
