Hello,
I sold a jump seat two week ago. I was sure it was a split bus jump seat as I never saw a seat like this in a bay bus. It was in my full bench seat and I told in the ad ''Was probably for a walk-thru and was cut to fit a full bench seat split bus. '' The guys who bought it tell me it's not a split bus seat. What do you think...

below are some photos that were in my ad.

Thanks
René

It's a bay walkthrough jump seat hacked to fit a bench seat split.

Compare it to this one from the gallery. The differences are pretty clear. Note the plastic molding, wooden strip for the middle cushion, lack of the 3 rivet holes at the base, etc.

Bays use carriage bolts through the front to secure them to the floor.

I only saw yellow rivets (I don't know if you call rivet to that metal botton) matching the mustard vinyl in bays...

side of a bay seat is only one piece, side of a split seat are two pieces...

It's a bay seat, sorry...

How about the wood top behind the backrest... I never had this in my bays... Is this a special model?

One more anomaly: late '67's have a breaker/toggle and outlet on the rear face and early '67's back to '65 don't.

Yes. It sounds like there were just some mistakes made...not like you were purposely burning someone. If the person is bummed then work it out if possible. Some day all there will be is Bay stuff made into earlier.
