| Hi all...I recently put on 195/75/14's on my '80 Westy..and now I had some trouble getting it back under the front into the spare tire holder. If I let some air out, then I could have a problem when I need it. I could yes, leave it in the back or on the roof rack, but I prefer not. I mean, 185 to 195 is only an inch wider, could that make it not fit? Do I just push hard and jam it in there? Thanks! |

| How hard would it be to take the hinge bolt out of the spare cover, and perhaps make some spacers tohold the cover a bit lower. I'm thinking of something like a double hinge, or hanger I guess, with two hinge bolts, held an inch apart. That ought to work, and not lower your clearance by much at all. Jeremy |
