Is there any reason I should be keeping a couple of crusty dash pads? One is from my '69 and the other is from a '70 parts car. I'd hate to throw them out and later realize I could have used the backing or the little plastic studs, etc....

I'd keep them. You can possibly clean them up and recover them with new vinyl or have them recovered at an uhpolstery shop. The fit will be way better. My .02 worth.

Agreed. I would keep them. The bottom pads are pretty hard to find. I would keep it even if it sucks.

I kept mine. Who knows maybe someone some day will make a pad that actually fits properly. If they do, they will need some old ones to work from.

i sold my bottom kick pads for 200 bucks.

i had no use, its a pointless piece to me .
