Thanks for the idea on mounting a paper towel holder on the spice rack. Great idea. |
Hi Woody,
that was a idea of the PO .
Not very often, that a modification of a PO is useful and not terrible....
If you look what some PO did to their busses.... .

I see it is listed as correct..But in my relatively short 5 years of interest in Double Cabs I have never seen a '59 in this color.. And the only '60 I've seen is the picture Everett posted in the gallery..
So does anyone actually know of any '59s that are this color originally...
Have any pics.. |
Not sure who owns this one, but it sure looks good. Yes, I know it's not a 59 or 60. _________________ 62 Turkis DC |

Yes, yes, I know it's not a Kombi, but it is Licht Grau and I just got my new gates from Gerson and needed an excuse to take a picture.
By the way, they look and fit Great! [/img] _________________ "My ex-wife had a hint of a beard and she looked like a manly-girl... that made no difference..."

Any pics of a light grey flipseat? I'm trying to envision mine in light grey, but I can't find an example. You can see the light grey coming through the hideous white on the passenger upper corner.

Wow, that is truely a beautiful bus. I tend to like the original paint much more than the respray light grey. Its really difficult to get some of those original Volkswagen colors right on. My bus has had much too much metal work to warrant strippin the paint down to original.
Still not an SO-34. Anyone know of a factory light grey SO-34? _________________ 1963 SO-34 camper
