Looking to pull the trigger tonight on some safaris. Everyone I’ve asked loves the CE’s… but worth the extra $300 in shipping and wait time? Thanks all! _________________ 1961 Turkis Sedan, 1641cc

CEs have the correct profile. i have them on one of my buses and an old set of bus boys on another bus. I like the weight of the steel framed bb compared to the CE but id buy CEs again as they look more original. _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.

I have no experience with CE but I've had Wolfgangs on my Bus for over 10 years now and I like them. _________________ All he needed was a wheel in his hand and four on the road.

I hear the CEs are quite a bit more flimsy, but I've personally never used them. I'm sure you'd be happy with both. |

FYI: CE uses tempered glass! Regardless of how “legal” or not it is in the states, having a rock hit it and it exploding in your face certainly won’t be fun.
As far as installation is concerned, I’ve done a few Wolfgang’s and one CE. The process is the same. Now, the one set I did was old and the frame is made in aluminum with the hinge “epoxied” to it. They had a history of coming unglued so I installed a few tiny screws to prevent that. _________________ Some people are so busy being clever they don't have time enough to be wise. |

That’s good to know. Especially since I do have a pretty bad chip in my drivers side Wolfgang. I’d much rather that than have it shatter in my face! _________________ All he needed was a wheel in his hand and four on the road.
