Went over to my ex's today to discuss our upcoming divorce. She currently occupies the apartment we shared. It is right on Stanley Park in downtown Vancouver. Rents have gone up 50% around there since we moved in. Neither of us would be able to afford to move in there now . . . after I parked in my old spot, ( I still pay half the rent) I went for a walk to get a smoothie. The neighbourhood is a bit of a Vanagon heaven, but most are showing their age, a little worse for wear or moldy looking westys. But what do I see on the side street behind my old building, a very nice unit MBZ wheels, a Kompressor badge on the rear hatch, and a "ML 5" badge on the other side of the hatch. And a Mercedes star on the front grill. All looking very nice.

Wonder what is under the rear hatch? Something supercharged I guess by the kompressor badge!

I think it is meant as a joke. an anti-consumerist statement even.

After I got my '85 painted white and nice and shiny I had a few people ask me what it was and if it was NEW!

It looks a little more like a G class van than a ML class van Very Happy

It would still be kinda poser, but more authentic looking to put Porsche badges on it and a B32 on the hatch, that could really throw an enthusiast for a loop

Mercedes van with curtains + exwife in the back = worthless Laughing Laughing
