Naomi's running the Death Race(solo) at the end of the month, I have a solo 24 mtb race the week before, so we had a mini training camp along the BC/AB border over the last few days, the Van a killer base camp....

A week long trip that started in Boulder, included some riding and camping in Summit County, then to Steamboat Springs, and back to Boulder via Rocky Mountain National Park.

Some pics from the Shetland Isles (look North West of Scotland - on the way to Norway) - last week. (Here - http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&...=h&z=6)
In contrast to the recent posts ^^^^^ - note the almost complete lack of trees. All gone some thousands of years ago - and the regular and strong winds seems to prevent regrowth above 6ft!! - Somewhere you are really pleased you don't have a poptop....

Yeah, it's that wonderful time of year again, late June in the Rockies...
Offroading to some old mine and mill sites south of Breckenridge (39.358841,-106.061337)
Ken takes us thru the London Mill water hazard (39.294959,-106.152131)
Ahhh, to be 20 again...
Storm's a'coming, heading back to the barn. The trail bears to the upper left, into the forest

Somewhere north of where we live, staycation and escaping the heat.
And since there is no "show me your cat in the van" thread...

Nope. No PhotoShop. Just luck. (he didn't really hit it... I spooked him and he ran to catch up with the rest of the herd. Lot's of them came through camp!)

This is in West Virginia about 3 days ago. We watched deer come to the water to drink. That bridge had maybe 3 cars the whole day.
We didn't camp on the creek rock just napped during daylight (I'm paranoid of flash floods in small mt valleys ) _________________ 84 Westy
