|
|
We PDX-ers need to organize a PDX WESTRAVAGANZA sometime soon...........Must be 15-20 of us regularly on here.......I have many thoughts on where we could do it but perhaps a Lucky Labrador(or wherever...) planning session to brainstorm ideas is in order? WETWESTIES is cool but.................
I work kind of a crazy schedule, 12 hour shifts and it rotates from days to nights, but have 14 days off every month.......
Lets get our heads together and make something happen. Hey PDXWESTY,GWTWTLW,PACNWSURFERDUDE,kshbaja,1621,tims490.............. PDXZESTY needs your organizational input!
Not necessarily limited to Westies only, TRISTAR ERIC,DOKAMAN,CHUCK77........One Vanagon Love!
CARTERZEST(aka PDXZESTY! )

Start Small, and work into a larger venue. I have extra acoustic guitars, basses, and other accompanying instruments? _________________ Happiness=Portland, Oregon in the rearview mirror!

Are you aiming for a Vanagon-only gathering, or can the Bays come out to play also?
There's a decent-ish sized contingent of mostly Bay owners in the PDX area that get together at the Hawthorne Lucky Lab on Monday evenings .. every Monday evening. Attendance is random and fluctuates, and it's not Bay-exclusive -- there's a couple Vanagon folks dropping by, and quite a few people there have (or have had) other VW's .. just worked out that most of the people are Bay owners. |

Sure I would love to, but it depends on my schedule. Pick a date far enough in advance and I will try to be there. I could use some time off, work is starting to get a little overwhelming again. _________________ 1988 Vanagon GL 7 passenger, 15" Mercedes 8 hole alloys with Nokian Hakka's (SOLD) |

I would be up for it. I like the idea of combining beer, music, and westy love. I play acoustic (bluegrass) guitar and live in SW PDX.
I just saw three Westys and a Bus on my 5 minute drive from John's Landing. We could print up some fliers and stick them on the windshields of the many vans in these parts...

I'm definitely game for a meet at The Lab. Unfortunately, I'm temporarily van-less but I hope you'll still let me hang out with you guys. It's a short term void, I promise! _________________ 89 Syncro Westy - GW 2.5, now with a double knob job

Name a time, I'll be there.
I have a big front yard, you're all welcome to stop by one Sunday...
I can arrange to have a few of the fast Vanagons stop by too.

I have DOKA. Don't like to camp, so if you keep it local that would be nice. |

We'd give it a shot, depending on time/date issues. Might be camping!
Anyway it'll give me a shot to pester all you local wrenches for advice.

Just got back from an extended camping trip to see this. Sounds great. I'll even leave the sand and funky sleeping bags in the van for the full effect! _________________ '85 Westy |
