I have three pots to bring as well. Friday night will be big crabbing for starters. Perhaps a nice crab cocktail lunch when we arrive at the Rogue.
P.S. Hoodrat, this page will carry any updates you might need. Hope to see you there. 😀 _________________ VW

I see the postcard deal and info, all good. Just wondering if I / we are free to invite others or post on the Facebook page. It sounds like you're trying to keep this small and intimate, which is totally cool. Just don't want to make anyone mad by over-inviting, or whatever, if this is Samba group exclusive or something. _________________ <<Tyler>>

VANTRUST
beta testing the search engine here to see if it comes up.
Would like to get some names of shops from Medford to PDX and Coastal areas to Bend and beyond for those of us Vanagon loving folks loving our great state and traveling around. My thoughts are If anyone has a few reputable shops, post them up with VANTRUST and we locals can create a easily searched term that will locate a shop if we are out and about.
VANTRUST Local in Eugene area:
The No Name Garage - owner Miles 541 344 2251 Eugene
Rich's VW repair- owner Rich 541 744 9043 Springfield |

X2 Chachi, they were trained by the great master VW Mechanic/Instructor Mel Ellis of M&M Automotive who I grew know and love for years. The Ellis family are great folks. Mel Ellis owned both shops sold D &M many years ago, then sold M&M to his son Nick and 35 years or so later its sold. As a fact Mel did his very last A/C 2.0 ltr. rebuild on mine. Best work ever. That is why D & M is so good. _________________ VW

We meet in Florence on Friday. I'll be there around noon near the South Jetty. |
So staying in Florance on Friday means we can technically arrive at any point that day? Not sure if we can make it down there by noon, or if it'll be afternoon.
4 hour drive for us. _________________ <<Tyler>>

No worries hoodrat, I'll be more like 2-3pm. Noonish is a bit aggressive now that I think of it. Take your time, this is going to be a fun one. _________________ VW

Reborn Automotive at 1800 SE MLK 503-231-4947 is very trustworthy IMO. I've been going there for over 20 years. They're good folks and do excellent work. Not the cheapest in town but you get what you pay for. _________________ 89 Syncro Westy - GW 2.5, now with a double knob job

I believe Dave bought D&M from Mel many years ago. _________________ VW

I'm feeling pretty secure in my van-again. I'd like to join in on this hoorah! The wife may sit it out, she chills easily. My son Arlo may accompany me, he's 9 and tuff! Is this kid friendly? Obviously it's what I subject him too, but I thought I'd ask? |

They do a ton of VW and Audi builds, tuning and swaps. They work on syncros and just did a Subaru swap using Smallcar stuff. Looks very clean. _________________ VW LT40 build. Like a Vanagon but 30% larger in every direction and 40% slower even in metric.
