Maybe this is a bit far off, but from this angle it looks a bit like a miniature Saab 93 to me

Damn!
I recognize this Tweety-car (see 2 posts above).
It was only five miles away from my home (Airport Amsterdam).
13 years ago i made some pictures of it. It was sleeping in a dark corner of a large hall, together with two other Steyrs 55 (those two were original, not KDF-rebuilt. One in very rusty condition and one perfectly restored).
Tweety has always been an attraction for me, but i resisted the urge to buy it. (you know, the familiar story: too much projects, too much other business and other important people in life, etc).
I always wondered what has become of Tweety.
And now: we see it is sold. Judging by the picture Tweety is already standing on a trailer
Immediately i feel regret that i have not taken action in 1998….
Here are the pictures.
EDIT: I tried to enclose the pictures in this topic, but have not succeeded.
I placed the pictures on my old website http://www.everyoneweb.com/harro/

Saw this on the Ladenburg auction site, reminded me of the tweety car. Description of the item from the site:
"VOLKSWAGEN/ STEYR, single approval for a VW-chassis with a body Steyr 50, dated 1947; and one glued in B/W photo of the vehicle" |

Inspired by the picture of the slammed grey one, we've built this one using a rotten '36 and a vw chassis. |
