I believe that there was a posting in this forum on a remanufactured sticker, you could print yourself. Right now I am in ABQ airport so will look for it later. _________________ 63 singlecab

Take a close-up picture of the sticker and I'll repro it as a JPG we can print out. Oh, a length width measurement would be good too so I can make it the same size. _________________ ..._____

Were those stickers on 74 Things only? It says 74 model year on it and all the pictures are of 74 fan shrouds. |

Doing a search on fan shroud stickers, came across this thread after a topic came up in the late beetle forum on "Interesting Fan Shroud Stencils".
Pretty neat. I knew Ghia's and Beetle's had these stickers.. but never paid much attention to what decals were on Thing's .
Also have noticed as with different models, naturally the Numbers/Letters slightly changed to reflect specific info for each vehicle. (Engine Code, Timing and Idle Settings)
And 'California' was omitted for cars sold outside that state.
sam did an outstanding job on the Font size! More so than my pitiful drawing in the Beetle thread. |

Cool. Thanks for locating those. May purchase one sometime.. Will come in handy to use for reference for a print shop, to modify some numbers around for '74 Bug application. |

I had a batch of these reproduced. I was not happy with the reproductions available, so I had my own printed.

Did you see how low the oil temp is?
Are you sure that should not be Celsius?
Oil at that temp would never get rid of condensation _________________ L'audace! L'audace! Toujours l'audace! |

I made exact copies of the originals, which have 122 - 158 degrees Farenheit. _________________ Mike B. |

That is the minimum temp for the test. We used to get the engine as hot as possible in California to pass the test and even then it was always hard on the Air cooled ones.
