If I were not rolling the two cars of my dreams, I think I may have to pick this one up.....I love the simplicity of the Country Buggy but never liked the lack of doors and decent top. This one has a great story...
Someone, for the love of God, buy this and show it and love it!

Odd, the price seems kind of low for such a rare VW... _________________ ..._____

It would seem there has been a veritable explosion of CB's here on The Samba lately.
A real bonanza!

Here's another CB very similar in appearance to the vehicle posted in the first post of this thread, although the execution of the cab enclosure is different.
Aussie farmers and other outback inhabitants often modify their vehicles to suit their individual needs, be it herding, hunting, or just generally roaming the countryside. Sometimes mods include roll bars increasing the safety factor or providing a gun rest; pipe or tubing guards in various places to protect against livestock; and even cab enclosures in areas which are more prone to tropical rains. It is a very individualistic pursuit based on personal whim and needs. I have seen enclosures of the front seating area only which effectively makes the back of the vehicle much like a small pick up bed. These are often referred to as "utes", Oz speak for 'utility'......and that's what they are designed to do....be utility vehicles that serve multiple purposes.
This enclosure is undoubtedly a home brew, shed built affair, but pretty nicely done. Before last week, this CB was unknown and not registered on The Country Buggy Register. Almost every week or two, a previously undiscovered and unregistered CB is turning up.
