From my experience it's not that section that causes the famous BD cab droop... it's the deep chassis section just in front of where the beam mounts on that rusts and creases over time, it has very little in the way of stengthening once the rust sets in. i can't see why it would sag from behind the front axle as it's supported by the wheels...

The bit i mean is the part they have cut through in at the front of this chassis...

I see what you're saying Tim, I always thought that it was the torsional force on the trailing arms that dragged the front floor and consequently A pillars and roof downwards. Be interesting to see a 'buckled' barndoor next to a pretty original one to take some measurements and find out exactly whats going on there. Cool
