Anyone know the size of the bolts for the rear wheel bearing cover on a 63 bug? I’m replacing seals and it has mismatched bolts and I want to replace with correct bolts. Thanks

99.997% sure they are 10mm x 1.50 pitch. The issue is the factory VW ones have a small 14mm hex to allow tool clearance to tighten them. You can either search out og ones in the classifieds, or use socket Allen headed bolts. Most 10mm bolts you’re going to find at a common hardware store are going to have a 17mm hex you won’t be able to get a socket on.

Great idea. Ace Hardware.

I've used such for upper left engine mount on later engine cases.

I personally have never gotten a bad product from WW, but I would be curious to see what size the hex is on those bolts. It looks like they are at least 15mm, which is going to leave little room for a socket.

I used those rear bearing bolts from WW on my '62 and they worked perfectly. The head of the bolt used a 15mm to tighten.I think I used a thin wall socket on it. It was at least a year or so ago.
