old skool fram oilfilter .use them on other foreign old speed cars. Ive seen them go for $70-$160 . I got mine for free. my uncle gave me one in its og package. My uncle use to work at an old vw shop in Salinas .

Worked fine for porsche on there 356's and there is a replaceable inner filter.

They work great if you like nostalgia and 50's technology.

It is a bypass (as opposed to full-flow) oil filter. Good nostalgia, poor filtration. There is some debate that they may actually starve the bearings of oil, but I don't know for a fact. You can drop an appropriately sized ball-bearing in the line and disable its function, keep it for looks.
