I think part of the problem is that there are so many teenagers on ebay just buying random stuff, most of them wouldn't know the difference between a fixable part and one that's just plain junk. I've had quite a few of them win some of my auctions and sometimes they paid, sometimes they didn't. The most surprising one was a used SLR film camera with a lens that I stated made a buzzing noise. The auction ended somewhere around $75.00. They didn't pay. I relisted it and it sold for $50.00. Also there's an equal number of adults with arrested development who do the same thing. Because of that I decided to stop selling comic books and toys and now stay off ebay altogether.

I have been buying and selling on ebay since 2000. I have not had a single person not pay. But I haven't sold anything that was not in good working condition, and my descriptions of my items for sale were always accurate. I haven't had a single complaint on ebay.
