Now that should go in the 'cool bus pics'- thread. I'd love to have seen some video of how it got there. Looks like it went in sideways? |
Yes. This section is at the end of a 30% grade on a two track dirt road where our trailer is. I was trying to avoid the hole since I knew it was there, but the bad thing about having a Peloquin diff is that if the tires are spinning, gravity can screw you. Or not. Depending. Before the snow, the SCab is the only vehicle we've seen that's made it all the way to the top without 4wd.
This pic is from yesterday before the storm came in:

It's cliché, but what a difference a day makes.
What's a Peolquin differential? _________________ Andy

It's a torque sensing differential, like a pos-traction. Sends power to the wheel that's not spinning but in reality it just spins both in low traction situations like a locker. _________________ A man with any character at all must have enemies and places he is not welcome—in the end we are not only defined by our friends, but those aligned against us. |

We took our 1965 Deluxe way off the beaten path this year to find a Christmas Tree. A couple miles up into the canyon we had to stop to chain up and once we did we didn't see another vehicle for the rest of the day. JC.

Good to see you out and about in the SC Anvil. Thought you drop off the face of the earth there.

@bonecollector
So I guess you surely ended up getting a tree.
I lost consciousness after the first minute.
Too many whiskeys & the thingy swinging from the rear view completely hypnotized me.
I was able to pick up that you took the splitty vs synchro & brought your daughter... so... sounded rad!
Sounds like a new tradition _________________ aka: Evan

Thanks. Life gets in the way sometimes, big projects, moving, etc., We're getting the SCab ready for a big road trip in May/June: Denver to Inuvik, Fairbanks, and points in between. _________________ A man with any character at all must have enemies and places he is not welcome—in the end we are not only defined by our friends, but those aligned against us. |

Love that run. We'll have to do Chimney Rock someday before it gets hot again. Bus is looking great! _________________ I'm at the age were "fuck off", "fuck you", and "fuck it" answer most questions. |
