| Notice they don't have a Thing class. I e-mailled them with no reply. Has any Thingers in the bay area been to this show. Im interested because they have "professional" judges and it looks like fun. |

Ah Ha! You are writing about the Peninsula Show. They have not had a Thing class in the past. I can try to get Dave Williams to add one if we think we can get Things to turn up. We had a Thing Class at Kelley Park this year and 10 Things arrived. What a great turnout. This is a much smaller show but let us see what we can do.

I went round to Peninsula on Friday and spoke to Sharon and Dave.
I got a call from Sharon this morning and they have added a Thing class.
They will have 2 awards and will put all the Things together.
She has only one Thing registered right now, but I said I will poll people and get her a count to reserve a Thing space.

Did you say they were going to have a 481 class…?
Bummer… I would love to do Harry's Hofbrau again with you Volks but I am going camping that weekend.
Sorry to say one less 481 to compete with… ;-]
Have fun Volks, maybe next time and no BugOrama for me either :-[ , family is in town that week…

Went to the Peninsula show today in my 63 singlecab, but four Things did arrive.
Cecil won 1st place and Jeff Kolb in the Blue Thing second. the other two were Jim Smith in the Black Thing and Dave Laubscher in his orange Thing.
A good time was had by all, and the engine blow took a long time.
