So my syncro was painted several years ago and for some reason they removed the vin sticker on the door pillar. Well, long story short the sticker is trashed. Is it possible to get vin sticker remade? I called vw and they can't repo something that old. So any options out there? |

I think you will have to try and find a blank and have a shop repo it for you. |

That's not going to happen!

pending you OWN your van and you can PROVE you OWN your van and that thru damage or neglect the OE VIN tag was unreadable.
your local DMV may be able to place a new official VIN (non-west german one though)
My DMV has a procedure for just this problem.
it will have to goto their bigger inspection location where the master tech will verify all of the other VIN stampings on the chassis. and issue a new VIN tag to replace the damaged one.
or if you are friendly with a good decal guy, he could make a black market facsimilie.
