zinc coating was done by a company.
I found it hard to chace down - I expected some chrome plating companies would do it but the ones I spoke to did'nt.
In the end I spoke to a company trough work - all I did was give them a box of rusty bolts
For those pics I put them in photoshop, if your familiar with it....
copy the pic into a new layer ( so you have 2 copies one on top of the other)
Gausian Blur the top layer (under the fliter menu)
then erase the top layer where you want to give the effect of depth of field.
Can't wait to get some nice after pics one day not too soon _________________ I want a real garage.

Just a few fiddly bits going on, but i thought it looked nic OG heater blanket thing + most of the OG clips that survived - coated.
Master Cylinder and pedals popped in - it's taking me ages working out where is all goes back again!
Any way question!! - my master cylinder has 4 open exits for the brake lines, 2 for lines 2 for brake warning light senders.
Behind the view on this pic at the rear end of the cylinder; there's a 5th lump of metal where a brake line could have been but there's no whole.
I'm going to take it to the machine shop and get them to put one in for me. Then the 2 wholes at the rear should lead to the front brakes.
Does this sound like it should be safe? Or should I just take one of the sensors out?
Also whats the size of the spacer I need to make for this?
Few nice shots of my mates perfect glossy black handy work. Cheers Nico!
Near mint inside when I opened it - nice surprise.

You need to run a T fitting for the front brake lines out of the one hole. From memory the rear hole in the pic runs the line to the T, the front outlet runs to the rear.
The spacer I think around 8-10mm. I had some laser cut a while back and can measure the thickness if you need. Great work by the way! |

Yeah I thought about using a T fitting but it did'nt seem to feel right to me.
You dont think having another outlet machined into the body would be better?
Yeah if you can measure one of those spacers that would be great. I'm assuming I'll be re using the old push-rod without cutting it down or anything?
(I was just about to ask if you have any spacers to sell - but I just like making stuff ) _________________ I want a real garage.

I know the CSP dual circuit kits also suggest a T fitting. I have converted tens of buses to dual circuit over the years and that's always how I have done it.
I do have some of the spacers, but they are zinc passivated in a yellow passivate, so wouldn't match the rest of your stuff |

The stock dual master system uses a "T" in front. _________________

it only needs 1 pressure switch. i guess the other one was fitted there to close the extra exit. |

AH pressure switch!! In my mind it was a warning light in case i lost pressure or somthing - hence I would need 2 one for each cylinder.
Right so I just take a pressure switch out and run 2 cables to the front

Quit listening to this guy/girl. IT NEEDS 2 SENDERS/SWITCHES...The pressure sender/switch attaches to the warning light...That is exactly what it is for. A dual master uses 2 senders/switches. 1 for each stage. The dual master uses a T in the front and a T in the back. _________________

On a serious note, the work you are doing will prolong the life of your bus.
I hope to be able to make the bottom of my bus look like yours when finished. I like the ide3a of primer look but sealed. |
Haha - yeah it was very well looked after by the first owner - I got a very unsettling feeling after I'd laid it all up with POR15 that the dam thing could out live me!
Yeah if you've got the space and time to do the work yourself it's not even realy that expensive for what you get out of it at the end. _________________ I want a real garage.
