very nice, I think mine looked like that 30years ago when it was built lol. I'm slowly trying to get it back to that. right now I have to motor torn apart for some new pistons, cylinders, ported heads, dual carbs and some other goodies. I really like that roof rack but am having a hell of a time trying to find and offroad style one like that.

Too bad that most of the early thread pictures are gone. Six years into a baja project. I miss the videos from Oktr6r.

Got the fenders trimmed, new tail lights coming tomorrow so I can finish trimming the rear and get rid of the giant lights that are on it now lol. Came out pretty good I think and looks way more like a baja now.

Thank you. I'm unsure of the rear but the front has the spindles from a Thing to give more clearance. Wheels are custom one offs by Bruce Meyers. Tires are 31" in rear and I think 245" front. _________________ 81' Aircooled Westy

Here's another baja in the making. They told me it was a 1600cc but it'll light up the 29 inch rears so I'm skeptical. Trying to make this thing into something that can keep up with the Jeep crowd. So far, it runs pretty good after a carb rebuild andelectronic dizzy upgrade (it's an 009 but thinking of swapping to a vac setup for daily driving). Alternator conversion, Solex 31 carb (rejetted) and an Empi baja exhaust. This thing is FUN! (So far). More to come....

Thanks! I’ll get some more pictures when I go to the shop tomorrow. The cage just runs into the front beam for support. But I’ll take some pics anyway. |

I went today to go and fetch an old buggy shell I've had for a while that has been stored on a friend's farm , and the only way I could transport it, was on the roof of the Baja!
On my way there, I managed to get 120kmh (GPS) top speed, but on my way back the best I could do was 100km/h (GPS) because of the wind resistance.
Got some funny looks from people passing me, though...

Kinda like the look of it , keep it that way an you'll have a 8 seater baja |
