Damn, i was actually thinking about that. I just wasn't sure that you could do that (well with enough welding and money i'm sure you can do anything ) . any pics of that process? Maybe i can even graft the whole windshield, and the part in fron where the wipers go, that way i can use a standard beetle hood. i prefer the pointy bottom part, versus the more rounded part of the super beetle hood. Or maybe i can just can my hood in half, and use the bottom part of a standard bug hood., since my hood is also is great shape. That would actually work out great, since the only "problem areas" with my hood are the bottom tip below the handle. is has some pitting. I was able to lay on a few coats of primer, and they are pretty much gone, but i still preferr the standard bug hood tip.
BTW, i'm sure ya know this ialready, but just in case some1 doesn't, the super bug hood, and the standard bug hood are NOT interchangeable, because the back of the hood on a super (closest to the windshield) is straighter, and the standard curves. i just want to throw that out there before people start saying "JUST SAWP THE HOODS!". via the pics:

Also here is what i was talkin bout, about the end of the hoods:

also, not to sound silly or anything, but i would rather graft in the sections myself, rather then just get another body. It's a project, and i see it as a good learning experience. lots of welding and grinding, whats better then that . _________________ 1974 Super Beetle: Custom resto in progress
