Today my assistant andrei and i took a long ride into the country to collect a '54 kombi which was discovered by a customer of ours. we've been working on getting this bus for months, and today was the day. it was an awesome day, beautiful fall colours and great driving weather. and we got a really cool bus. you don't see one this old up here in the great white north very often. it is rusty but not completely hammered.

at the moment we don't what we're doing with this bus, the goal was simply to get it out of the woods before the snow buries it for one more year. it's been in the same spot for a long time, maybe more than 25 years. now it's on the move...

the number plate is almost impossible to read, but so far it looks like 20-1078XX. the plate is very hard to read, the last digits are not readable at all and the first few are difficult to make out for sure. the body number is 106364. i could probably read the number plate better from the back but for now i think i'll leave it alone.

we're backed up at the shop here today but i'm going to get the bus cleaned tomorrow and take lots more photos.

Definetely a bus to give thanks for. Sweet find and great to see another Canadian BD saved! Cool
Does (or did it) have the VOLKSWAGEN writing under the back window? How about the Aristocast VW script on the RR corner?
