Is this sealing wax red?
No tag found, only found this number 206083 stamped behind passenger. |

that looks an awful lot like Fire Truck Red, and based off the body number (206083) your truck is much older than Sealing Wax Red commercial production. _________________ drive your split. |

Looking for a good OG paint SWR parcel tray if anyone has one they can sell. Or indeed are you restoring and repainting the interior of your bus. Could you be interested to part with your shelf upon a deal to provide a suitable replacement?
Thanks Ben

Thanks!
Has been outside a barn for 42 years here in Norway. It is quite good, but the bottom must be thoroughly restored. Doing this job now. Fortunately, AutoCraft has good parts for the restoration. I'm going to keep the patina on the car. Attaches some pictures.

My newly acquired 1960 Single Cab with a thick layer of tan paint, it almost has a texture to it. Ive been using orange oil to remove the paint and expose the beautiful red. The truck had a hard life so there was a lot of bondo with rot underneath.
The roof was repaired with parts from another bus, they did a really good job a million years ago, but it had rotted out under the bondo. Wolfsburg West sells complete roofs for trucks and the fit was great. BBT i think. My spot welder would not have worked on the rain gutter so i went with Lord Fusor Panel Bonding Adhesive.
My Paint shop mixed the SWR from code and it was way too orange so they used the fresh air box cover to match paint. The roof is beautiful!
My plan is to replace the window frame at the bottom of the windshield and paint the entire nose and safaris. Ill leave the driver door but the passenger door is blue, must have been replaced in that accident.
The bed is solid, still working on tan paint removal.

Mahk- That '62 SO34 is RAD (not RADtv Rad).
Very uncommon solid paint option for a Westfalia especially for a post '61 bus. _________________
