After removing a pair from a 64 beam I noticed all 4 of the holes will need to be tapped for new zerks. Has anyone done this? Any idea what size I need to tap and where to get those zerks? Thanks

If you have an Ace Hardware local, they have both on the shelf, straight and angled, 8mm and 10mm.

So if they are currently 10's then I would have to tap larger correct? What do they make larger than a 10?

You might be able to follow the threads with a tap and clean them up. I would use a sealant if it works. Other than that I am stumped.

If you do follow them and it works, make sure to clean out all the shavings out of the tubes. Some may say don't worry about it, I just have a thing for metal shavings and grease.

Hi, the size is the threads, not the hex.

They are made in 6mm, 8mm and 10mm
also in 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 3/8
There is a 1/2" but its for industrial use, you wouldn't want it.

If you are stripped out and you are already at the largest size, weld it shut, redrill and retap.
