I recently bought a "36 40hp thin slot 6v generator/fan/pulley Complete " http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1173582 from Mark. The cost was $53 with shipping. I received a WIDE SLOT generator with a Type 3 pulley. When I emailed mark about this and attached a picture of HIS generator side-by-side with an actual narrow slot, his response was as follows:
"Hmmm. And I was with the understanding the thin slot indicated the generator 'stand' size. Good info, thank you." So Mr. "Ovaldude54" has clearly misnamed himself and/or he lacks honesty. I'm out $53 for a used 6V generator and he thinks it is acceptable.

My error. I was with the fullest understanding the 'slot' meant the slot location of/for the generator to set in.

Larry, if you were not Okay with the generator, I wish you would have said something of the nature prior to publishing negitive/poor feedback.

Please return the generator for a refund. My appoligize.

Wow. So you thought I sent you a picture and a message informing you that you had not sent what you had advertised because I was happy? I assure you that if someone sent me a complaint, my response would have been different. Your response in its entirety: "Hmmm. your email sounded 100% as for information -FYI (For Your Information) purposes only, and I took it as that completely. IF you had a complaint, it was not seen in any of your few words.

Just to note: The 6 CLEAR PHOTOS supplied in the ad showed the generator at all angles and its sides, including the 'window' area.
IF this was not what you were looking for, why then did you make such a quick and unquestioned PayPal purchase and then leave poor feedback???

Please review and see that I stated a returned item refund was not a problem.

Mark You are a FUNNY, FUNNY, guy. So it must have been my fault when I believed YOU when YOU listed a "thin slot generator"? Samba users, Mark has warned you that you believe him at YOUR peril. I looked at the photos and I saw no reason believe that you were not knowledgeable and honest. Your description of the generator AND the pulley were BOTH wrong. Not only were they were wrong but BOTH mistakes made a $10 pair seem to be a $50+ pair.
IF SOMEONE EMAILs YOU TO SAY THAT WHAT YOU SHIPPED WAS NOT WHAT YOU ADVERTISED THEY ARE NOT JUST TRYING TO EDUCATE YOU - DUH.

With over 600 combined excellent transactions within 3 sites over 9 years, it can be seen you are the ONE in 200 who must post poor feedback, strickly due to your unsureity.

Thanks (sarcasm) for the negitive feedback and name calling me, in simular terms, dishonest ' larrythedog '. It does wonders for my buying/selling on thesamba.

I bought a 36 hp block and Tee Pee exhaust from mark. Super fast response to emails and very friendly. We got along just fine. I'm happy with my motor and look forward to rebuilding the 59 engine into my coach built.
