I'm the third owner.

Nope, your right. Wish I could say original color but I can't.
An original Seattle bus, delivered at Harbor Island in
late Feb of '63 with sealing wax red and beige gray color.
As I said, I'm the third owner. 2nd owner repainted bus in '93 two years before I got it. Finish is polyurethane.
In 1995 purchased the bus while working in Japan. Decision made based on photos sent by my daughter from Seattle where she encountered
2nd owner in school. The color caught my eye.

This was my 67 titan/biege bus. Slowly losing a lot of the original paint.

Still welding on for new owner/friend.

Mine still retains the original paint in a few spots. It was logoed a couple of times so those areas have been resprayed because the logoes are coming through the respray. It was parked in '78 until I bought it a couple of years ago. It's a '66 model.

Nice Titain tread! Nice buses! Smile

I'm finishing a total restoration of my 67 westfalia. Going for the titian/beige combo. I've check some pictures everywhere for the 2 tone paint. Top of mine is beige gray top and interior. Botom is titian red of course... Question is... how should I paint the frame? some say it's supposse to be all gray, some say it's suppose to be the interior color, some say it's suppose to be bottom color? I can't see well on the original busses in this tread, but are yours red or gray??? Thanks Smile I'll post pictures when i'm done! Smile

Here's another thread
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=529014

It's grey but with some overspray of the lower color.
A lot of time the wheel wells were fully painted too.
