Visited my Squareback for Christmas and took her out for a little drive while the weather was still okay.

You have done the car justice for sure. The refined attention to the details shows. Making a jewel out of a diamond. Get it back here to the left coast. I want to see it again. Cool

Man, where does time go? The older I get the faster it flies by...

I've been up in the Bay Area for the last year, so my Squareback has been on vacation in Hurricane, UT. The views are nice if you can see over all of the church steeples. It seems I live vicariously through all of you people these days.

I got the whitewalls mounted on the powdercoated wheels yesterday. Then I started to prep the NOS front beam for paint.

The beam and NOS arms are now painted. It's 80% assembled at this point. I will get some pictures up tomorrow.

That engine looks super nice. Really nice attention to detail.

Are the little white covers for the choke wire connections available anywhere?

Weird stuff. I put the long push rod in but it pushed the pedal out way too far. I couldn't adjust it in so I put the short rod back in and the pedal is sitting in the right spot with the 1mm clearance needed before engaging the brakes. Hmmm.

I went with the NOS coupler, just like the OG one that came out of it.

Time to bleed the brakes...

Agreed. Hopefully that new steering coupler has the cloth fiber in it, or you'll be back in there changing it. The cloth is supposed to help hold it together if it starts to crack, rather than just break like the urethane ones do.
