has anyone had as much of a problem with brazilian rear fenders as me? the damn things are a 1/2 longer than my rear apron and a few of the mounting bolt holes dont even line up. i have a 60 with a 64 rear clip. is that a problem or is it the damn fenders? i cant believe i wasted this money. any feedback would be appreciated. should i just reshape the bottoms? |

yeah, i have the same problems, only about 3/4 of the bolt holes line up, they are longer than the apron, and i cant get the running boards to meet the fenders correctly. Also the bumper slots arent large enough to allow the rubber grommets to fit, as well as the bolt holes for the tail lights werent correctly lined up for the snow flakes. guess next time around i'll go for german steel. _________________ ________________________________________

i saved my orig rears, they are in tough shape though... try Wolfsburg West, all of the other parts i bought from them were top quality. I bought a few things from MADirect and wasnt too pleased with the quality... _________________ ________________________________________

same problem here...MOST of my bolt holes didn't match....had to make adjustements and the fenders did go about 1/2 inch below apron....they suck. _________________ 1965 Herbie Replica. 1776cc dual Kads.

i appreciate the help. its been a slow build. its not going to be a show car, but i want it to look good even if i have to spend more time smoothing out og rear fenders. i guess its time for a swap meet trip. i guess i will just hack up the brazilian fenders and hammer smooth and use this metal for a rust repair somewhere else. what a waste of cash that was. |
