new to bug forum

i've got my mom's old '68 bug now and i was wondering if the dash pad can be removed/revealing metal underneath? i had the cracked plastic dash and dig metal dashes. if so, can you guys give me a rough checklist on how to do it? i'm only used to my squareback

I hate to be the one to do it but..... Use The Search Feature .

I just searched "dash pad removal" and came up with a bunch of stuff.

In answer to the first question, yes it can be remove leaving the metal dash. There will be some holes to fill and parts to switch over, but it can be done. Good luck.

ok ok, i used the search forum and found what i needed. dash is coming out tomorrow. can't wait...
