Well, my new Bosch 010 distributor is on the way from Glenn !
Can't wait to get this on and get rid off all my other distributors.
Glad to finally be part of the "Club 010" lol

An item of nostalgia, that's all. Computers are where it's at these days, but it is a nice looking unit. Cool

Here's my first computer, all 64k of main memory. It weighs more than my Beetle.

Talk about nostalgia.

Sure... electronic computer control where each cylinder has it's own coil (no distributor) and the computer will advance or retard each cylinder independently. Direct port fuel injection eliminates carbs and the associated sync and jetting problems.

Sounds like my Honda Civic... how boring.

It's all about "Old School".

IDAs, 010 and dual QPs.

I have to agree. Carbs and distributors are a PITA but I suppose that's why I like them. I prefer to work on my Beetle than screw around.

This sounds like feedback that should be in Glenn's feedback thread?

I don't know of any 010 shortages, I see unrestored ones for sale all the time.
