I have an Air Camping roof top tent that I picked up at a swap meet and I have been searching for others as well as the the years they were around and any other information I can find out about them. Any information is appreciated, pictures, links, brochures, etc. Thanks. _________________ John

I think both Air Camping and Autohome roof top tents are made by Zifer. Check out www.autohomeus.com, the Air Camping tent appears to be a Overland. _________________ Camping the "Compact Way" |

I will share what I know about them. They are a fold in half roof top tent that attaches to the rain gutters of 60's- 70's Bugs and Busses. I think they were made in the 60's or 70's, maybe earlier but I don't know for sure. I have since found numerous similar ones but not the same, the closest I have found was by Air-Camping of Canada I dont know if there was a relation but their logo was the same as the old Air Camping but they are no longer in business. Air Camping's address was 833 North Meridians, Indianapolis, In. 46204. The tents for them were made by T.J. Snuggles (Mfr. canvas & bedding) at POB 257 U.S. 6 at Dogwood Rd. Bremen, In. 46506 who were in business several years ago in fact they still had the templates to make new ones but shipping the tent to them then was cost prohibitive. I will post some pictures I have and if anyone has more information on these I would appreciate you sharing it. Thanks. _________________ John

Picked this up today, bought it in Bremen IN, the town where the canvas was made. It was used once many years ago. Wasn't opened since then until today.
